Kevin Foley is an independent type designer and founder of Kevin Foley Fonts. A Massachusetts native, he spent 25 years in Japan running an independent graphic design studio serving major Japanese and global brands before returning home. He is currently Design Director at MIT Sloan Management Review. His graphic design work has been recognized by Graphis and the Society of Publication Designers.
A graduate of the Type@Cooper Extended Program in typeface design, he came to type design after decades of using type as a working designer — bringing a practitioner’s eye to every decision.
Outside the studio, he plays guitar with more enthusiasm than skill, goes to a lot of concerts—mostly in the alternative and indie space—and hasn’t entirely given up on skateboarding.
