Desktop License Agreement

Kevin Foley Fonts Version 1.0 — March 15, 2026

1. Parties

This agreement is between Kevin Foley Fonts (“Licensor”) and the individual or entity purchasing this license (“Licensee”).

2. Grant of License

Licensor grants Licensee a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to install and use the licensed font software for the number of users specified at the time of purchase. Each user is defined as one individual who installs and uses the font software. A single user may install the fonts on any number of their own devices for their personal use.

3. Permitted Uses

Licensee may use the licensed fonts to:

  • Create and distribute print and digital documents, including logos, branding, advertisements, publications, and presentations
  • Embed fonts in PDF files for viewing and printing, provided the PDF is not editable
  • Create motion graphics and video content, including social media video, presentations, and short-form content. Broadcast, cinema, and commercial streaming at scale requires a separate license — contact license@kevinfoleyfonts.com to discuss appropriate terms.
  • Provide fonts to a subcontractor or service bureau working on behalf of Licensee, subject to Section 5

4. Restrictions

Licensee may not:

  • Install or use the fonts on more users than specified at the time of purchase
  • Sublicense, sell, rent, lend, or transfer the fonts or this license to any third party
  • Modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, or create derivative works based on the font software
  • Embed fonts in editable documents intended for distribution
  • Use the fonts in any product where the font software itself is the primary component being distributed

5. Subcontractors

Licensee may provide the licensed fonts to a subcontractor or service bureau solely for work on Licensee’s behalf. The subcontractor must delete all copies of the fonts upon completion of the work. The subcontractor may not use the fonts for any other purpose.

6. Upgrades and Additional Licenses

To add users beyond those covered by this license, Licensee must purchase an additional or upgraded license.

7. Generative AI Training

Licensee may not reproduce or otherwise use the licensed font software, or any output of the font software, to train artificial intelligence systems, machine learning models, or any technology capable of generating text, images, or typographic output — including systems that generate work in the style of the licensed fonts — without the express written permission of Kevin Foley Fonts.

8. Automated and Agentic Use

This license covers use by individual humans operating design software in the normal course of creative work. It does not cover use of the licensed fonts as part of any automated, AI-powered, or agentic system that deploys the fonts programmatically to generate, adapt, resize, or distribute design assets at scale — including brand automation systems, content generation pipelines, and AI design tools that apply the fonts across formats, platforms, or markets without direct human operation of each individual output.

9. Ownership

The font software is the intellectual property of Kevin Foley Fonts. This license grants a right to use the fonts; it does not transfer ownership.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The font software is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. Kevin Foley Fonts is not liable for any damages arising from the use of the font software.

11. Governing Law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States of America.
